Sharm El Sheikh Museum opened in late 2020 on the airport road near Naama Bay. It is the first antiquities museum built in Sinai and holds about 5,200 artefacts spanning prehistory, ancient Egypt, and the Graeco-Roman, Coptic and Islamic periods.
Highlights include the hall on daily life in ancient Egypt, animal mummies and the Hall of Civilisations. A good choice if you want to see a different side of Sharm beyond the sea.
